Gifts of Winter
Back by popular demand! Come and be creative during the Holiday break. It's our annual YSI's Gifts of Winter Event! The children will make fun winter-themed crafts during this special weekday class. Paint with needles from a tree, create different winter cards, make a bird feeder, design an ornament and decorate cookies. We will have several staff available to help your children bring home at least two different crafts. In addition, we will be taking a short nature hike weather permitting. Parents are welcome to stay for the kids only crafts, or they can enjoy a two and a half hour break to get some coffee, relax or catch up on Holiday shopping. This class is appropriate for children ages 5-10 years old. This event will be held rain or shine. • Wednesday, December 21, 2011 • 1:00pm-3:30 pm • YSI at Vasona, Los Gatos

Walking sticks, silkworms and hissing cockroaches will be there, so why not you? At this family-oriented hands-on affair children and adults get an up-close look at live insects, spiders, scorpions, millipedes and more. YSI instructors and volunteers will be on hand to answer your questions and help you get hands-on. To add to the fun there will be children’s crafts, face painting, and bug-themed snacks.
Free admission; donation requested. Held rain or shine.
